Job Description

The Home Care Aide position at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. The ideal candidate for this position is an energetic and creative individual that is passionate about providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Our Home Care Aides are expected to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment. The successful candidate should have the necessary qualifications to provide safe and effective care for our patients. Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED equivalent• Minimum of one year of experience in a health care or child care setting preferred• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association• Pass a criminal background check and drug screen• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance

Responsibilities: • Provide compassionate and attentive care to children and their families in a home care setting • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Work effectively in a diverse environment • Maintain patient safety and ensure quality of care • Follow hospital policies and procedures • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed • Monitor vital signs and report changes to the appropriate medical staff • Provide support to patients and their families • Assist in the development of care plans • Document care provided in accordance with hospital policies • Maintain patient confidentiality • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with best practices in home care
