Job Description

At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, we are seeking an IS Data Center Specialist to join our Information Systems team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated professional to become part of a collaborative and technically skilled group of individuals who support the success of the hospital. The successful candidate will have the ability to perform complex tasks in a fast-paced environment in order to maintain the highest level of service and support. The IS Data Center Specialist must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in a Data Center environment is required. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of UNIX, Windows Server, SAN and related technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team in a customer-focused environment. Responsibilities of an IS Data Center Specialist:

  1. Maintain the highest level of service and support in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Utilize UNIX, Windows Server, SAN and other related technologies.
  3. Respond to inquiries and requests from the Information Systems team.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot data center systems.
  5. Document and report data center activity.
  6. Support the implementation of new technologies and processes.
  7. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  8. Work independently and collaborate with team members.
  9. Provide customer-focused support in a professional manner.
