
Music Therapist
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia seeks an experienced Music Therapist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. This position requires a compassionate individual with an extensive knowledge of music and the creative arts. The Music Therapist will provide therapeutic music interventions to patients and their families in support of our mission to provide exceptional care to children of all ages.The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited university, be registered with the American Music Therapy Association, and possess a minimum of two years' experience as a Music Therapist. We are looking for a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic music interventions to patients and their families to promote healing and well-being
- Develop and implement individualized music therapy treatment plans for patients in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Utilize a variety of musical and creative arts modalities to meet the needs of the patient and their family
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records
- Participate in team meetings and other activities to ensure quality care
- Demonstrate professional behavior and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Participate in continuing education activities and professional development to stay abreast of best practices in the field
- Liaise with families, healthcare staff, and other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
