Job Description

At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we are looking for a Neurodiagnostic Specialist who is passionate about providing exceptional care to our pediatric patients. The successful candidate will possess a unique combination of technical knowledge and outstanding interpersonal skills while performing diagnostic analysis. If you have the qualifications and desire to join an esteemed team, we want to hear from you!The Neurodiagnostic Specialist will be responsible for providing patient-centered care and performing a variety of tests, including EEGs, EPs, EMGs, and evoked potentials, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in the neurodiagnostic field, knowledge of developmentally appropriate patient care, and an understanding of the principles of neurophysiology. A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is highly preferred. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform EEGs, EPs, EMGs, and evoked potentials to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders
  2. Provide patient-centered care
  3. Ensure adherence to safety standards and clinical protocols
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments and test results
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure a positive experience
  6. Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary health care team
  7. Utilize medical equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions
  8. Stay abreast of new developments in the field of neurodiagnostics
  9. Provide education and support to patients and families
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives
