Job Description

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring accuracy in the preparation of medication orders. You will have an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families. To be successful in this role, you must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and must have a strong customer service orientation. The ideal candidate will have a Pharmacy Technician certification and/or a minimum of two years of experience in a pharmacy setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare medication orders accurately and efficiently.
  2. Maintain pharmacy records and documents in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
  3. Assist in the procurement of medications and other pharmacy-related items.
  4. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  5. Answer customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and courteous manner.
  7. Ensure quality assurance standards are met at all times.
  8. Adhere to all safety and health regulations within the pharmacy.
  9. Update and maintain patient profiles.
  10. Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians.
