Job Description

At the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we are committed to improving the lives of our patients and their families. We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Products Compounding to join our team.The Pharmacy Technician - Sterile Products Compounding is responsible for compounding and packaging sterile products per the orders of the physicians and nurses, as well as entering orders into the pharmacy information system. The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. In addition, to be successful in this role, the candidate must be detail-oriented, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred.

Responsibilities: -Compound and package sterile products according to physician and nurse orders -Enter orders into the pharmacy information system -Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling medications -Provide excellent customer service to patients and families -Work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment -Maintain a clean and organized workspace -Follow all safety protocols -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy regulations and procedures -Assist with inventory management and control
