
Phlebotomist
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. We are searching for a positive, organized individual with an excellent work ethic and commitment to providing quality patient care. The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in a patient care setting, and a valid certification as a Phlebotomist. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing venipunctures and collecting specimens in a professional and efficient manner. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a rapport with patients and their families in order to provide compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipunctures and collect specimens from patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and establish a rapport with patients and their families in order to provide compassionate care.
- Ensure all patient information is accurately documented in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and transport them to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to hospital safety procedures and regulations.
- Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in performing phlebotomy services.
- Collaborate with healthcare members to ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment and order new items as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare regulations and industry best practices.
