
Physician Assistant - Medical Neonatal Intensive
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a Medical Neonatal Intensive Care Physician Assistant. - Provide high-quality medical care to newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
- Conduct physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed.
- Monitor and assess patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in neonatal medicine and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Provide emotional support and compassion to patients and their families during difficult and stressful situations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the NICU team.
- Comply with all legal and ethical standards related to healthcare.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required by the hospital.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the hospital's mission and values.
- Represent the hospital in a positive and professional manner at all times.
A Master Of Science In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.
Current Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa) As A Physician Assistant.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu) Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Neonatal Medical Conditions And Treatments.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Team In A Fast-Paced Environment.
