Job Description

At the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As an RN in the NICU, you will provide excellent care to newborns and their families in a critical care setting. You will be responsible for monitoring and assessing the condition of infants, administering medication, and performing necessary treatments and procedures. The ideal candidate for this position must have a Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and at least two years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Additionally, successful candidates will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team, and a genuine passion for providing the highest quality of care for neonates. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and assess the condition of newborns in the NICU.
  2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide care to newborns and their families.
  4. Maintain patient records and document treatments and procedures.
  5. Provide emotional support and guidance to families of newborns.
  6. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  7. Utilize problem-solving skills to quickly assess and address any medical or emotional needs of the newborns.
  8. Offer education to families regarding newborn care and development.
  9. Provide compassionate and tailored care to each newborn and family in the NICU.
