Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate Rehab Therapy Aide to join the team at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The ideal candidate will be a team player who is passionate about helping children facing physical, mental, and developmental challenges receive the therapy they need. The Rehab Therapy Aide will be responsible for providing support to physical, occupational and speech therapists in the delivery of therapeutic services, assisting patients in meeting their functional goals, and helping to create a positive and encouraging atmosphere. In addition to a commitment to helping children, the successful candidate must possess the qualifications outlined below. Responsibilities:

• Provide support to physical, occupational and speech therapists in the delivery of therapeutic services to children at CHOP • Assist patients in meeting their functional goals through the use of therapeutic exercises and activities • Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to patients to help them reach their goals • Assist therapists in the set up and breakdown of therapeutic equipment and activities • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines in the delivery of therapy services • Document patient progress in a timely and accurate manner • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop effective intervention strategies • Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment • Maintain a professional and friendly attitude towards patients, families, and therapists
