Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Safety Center Assistant to join the team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a member of the Safety Center team, the Safety Center Assistant will play an important role in providing a safe and secure environment for our patients, families, and staff. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong communications and customer service skills, be a team player, and have an understanding of safety protocols. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual who is capable of multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a customer service, security, or safety-related role. Candidates must also have valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and the ability to complete a background check. Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and assist patients, families, and staff while providing a safe and secure environment.
  2. Answer questions and provide information about safety protocols and procedures.
  3. Monitor the premises for any safety or security issues.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  5. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  6. Assist in the enforcement of safety regulations.
  7. Report any safety concerns to the Safety Center Manager.
  8. Assist in the development and implementation of safety initiatives.
  9. Complete paperwork and reports as required.
  10. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  11. Maintain valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and pass a background check.
