  1. Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for all employees.
  2. Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  3. Oversee the administration of all employee benefits and deductions.
  4. Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate and complete payroll data.
  5. Monitor and analyze payroll data to identify and resolve discrepancies and errors.
  6. Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
  7. Prepare and submit payroll reports to senior management.
  8. Manage the payroll budget and forecast future payroll expenses.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to employees by promptly addressing any payroll-related inquiries or issues.
  10. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software.
  11. Train and mentor payroll team members to ensure a high level of performance and productivity.
  12. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll data.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  14. Participate in special projects and initiatives related to payroll as needed.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the payroll team and across departments.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Managing Payroll Operations: A Senior Manager - Payroll At Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Managing Payroll Operations, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Payroll Processes, Laws, And Regulations.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior Manager, This Role Requires Excellent Leadership And Management Skills To Oversee A Team Of Payroll Specialists. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Developing Teams To Achieve Departmental Goals.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Payroll Systems: Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia Uses Various Payroll Systems, And The Senior Manager - Payroll Should Have A Strong Understanding Of These Systems. They Should Also Have Experience In Implementing And Optimizing Payroll Systems To Improve Efficiency And Accuracy.

  • Familiarity With Healthcare Industry Regulations: The Healthcare Industry Is Highly Regulated, And It Is Crucial For The Senior Manager - Payroll To Have A Good Understanding Of The Relevant Laws And Regulations. This Includes Knowledge Of Hipaa, Fair Labor Standards Act (Flsa), And Other Industry-Specific Regulations Related To Payroll.
