
Social Worker- Emergency Department

- Provide emotional support and counseling to children and families in the Emergency Department during times of crisis.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess and address the social and emotional needs of patients and their families.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Connect patients and families with necessary resources and services, such as mental health support, housing assistance, and financial aid.
- Advocate for patients and families to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and agencies to expand available resources for patients and families.
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of social work, specifically in emergency settings.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and services provided.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans and ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings to discuss patient cases and provide support to colleagues.
Master's Degree In Social Work From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience Working In The Emergency Department Setting.
Valid State Licensure As A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw).
Knowledge Of Child Welfare And Child Protective Service Systems.
Ability To Work Collaboratively With Interdisciplinary Teams And Provide Crisis Intervention And Support To Patients And Families.
