- Stay current on advancements and best practices in the treatment of Type 1 Diabetes to provide the most effective care.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of social work practice.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during difficult situations.
- Collaborate with other social workers and professionals within the hospital to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the hospital to ensure effective communication and understanding.
- Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Social Work From An Accredited University
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting
Knowledge Of Type 1 Diabetes And Its Impact On Children And Families
Experience In Providing Psychosocial Support And Counseling To Patients And Families
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work With Interdisciplinary Teams And Community Resources.
