
Specialty - Pharmacy Technician
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is looking for an experienced and passionate Pharmacy Technician to provide excellent care to our pediatric patients. As a Pharmacy Technician with us, you will help ensure the safe and effective use of medications by assisting pharmacists in providing specialized care to our patients. The ideal candidate for this role should have experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting, a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, and excellent customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in providing specialized care to pediatric patients, including filling prescriptions, performing medication reconciliation, and verifying patient information.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of medications by providing patient counseling and education.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all medications dispensed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to pharmacy operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and order medications and supplies as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to patients and families.
- Process payments and reconcile pharmacy accounts.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and pharmacy staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) License In The State Of Pennsylvania
Experience In Patient Care
Ability To Work With Children And Their Families
Ability To Accurately Measure And Count Medications
Knowledge Of Drug Interactions
And Ability To Handle Confidential Patient Information.
