
Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow

- Provide high-quality and compassionate speech-language pathology services to pediatric patients in accordance with CHOP's mission and values.
- Work with a diverse caseload of pediatric patients, including those with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Educate and involve parents and caregivers in the treatment process and provide them with resources and strategies to support their child's communication and swallowing needs.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology and incorporate evidence-based practices into treatment.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and other interdisciplinary activities to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities, including continuing education and supervision, to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all CHOP policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, integrity, and compassion in the workplace.
- Foster a positive and welcoming environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
- Actively contribute to the growth and success of the speech-language pathology department at CHOP.
Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited Program.
Certification From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).
Completion Of A Clinical Fellowship Year (Cfy) And Eligibility For State Licensure.
Experience Working With Pediatric Populations, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team And Effectively Communicate With Children And Their Families.
