Job Description

If so, then a Sports Physical Therapist position at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) may be the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and dedicated individual to join our team in providing the highest quality of care to our pediatric patients. The Sports Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment to patients with sports-related injuries and conditions. They will work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, while demonstrating and teaching proper physical therapy techniques. The successful candidate will also provide education to patients and their families regarding injury prevention, recovery, and care. Qualifications:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania- Previous experience in a pediatric physical therapy setting- Knowledge of current sports physical therapy principles, methods, and techniques- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare team members- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities of a Sports Physical Therapist:

  • Evaluate and diagnose sports-related injuries and conditions.
  • Provide treatment to patients using the most current physical therapy techniques.
  • Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate and teach proper physical therapy techniques.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding injury prevention, recovery, and care.
  • Remain up-to-date with current sports physical therapy principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  • Utilize excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
