  1. Design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure solutions for CHOP's healthcare systems.
  2. Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth integration of new applications and systems into our cloud environment.
  4. Develop and maintain documentation for cloud systems, processes, and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient management.
  5. Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
  6. Work closely with security teams to implement and maintain strong security measures for our cloud systems.
  7. Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.
  8. Mentor and guide junior engineers in their technical growth and development.
  9. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.
  10. Proactively identify and address potential performance bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing, and make recommendations for their implementation at CHOP.
  12. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders about project updates, timelines, and potential challenges.
  13. Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely response to critical incidents.
  14. Comply with all HIPAA and other relevant regulations to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient data.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Cloud Computing: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Cloud Technologies, Such As Amazon Web Services (Aws), Microsoft Azure, Or Google Cloud Platform. They Should Have Experience In Designing, Implementing, And Maintaining Cloud-Based Solutions.

  • Proficiency In Devops Methodologies: The Sr Cloud Devops Engineer Should Have A Strong Background In Devops Practices, Including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, And Infrastructure Automation. They Should Be Able To Leverage Tools Such As Jenkins, Git, And Chef Or Puppet To Streamline The Software Development And Deployment Process.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare It Systems: Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia Is A Healthcare Organization, So The Sr Cloud Devops Engineer Should Be Familiar With Healthcare It Systems And Standards, Such As Hipaa And Hl7. They Should Understand The Unique Challenges And Requirements Of Managing Data In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Scripting And Coding Skills: The Candidate Should Be Proficient In At Least One Programming Language, Such As Python, Java, Or Ruby, And Have Experience In Scripting Languages Like Bash Or Powershell. They Should Be Able To Write Code To Automate Tasks And Troubleshoot Issues In The Cloud Environment.
