
Medical Director - Radiation Oncology
We are looking for an experienced Medical Director - Radiation Oncology to join the Cigna family! The Medical Director will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Radiation Oncology medical teams, ensuring operational and clinical efficiency throughout the delivery of care. This individual must be able to act in a consultative capacity to ensure excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and cost containment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Radiation Oncology, with expertise in developing clinical pathways and protocols, and a passion for delivering the highest quality of care. We are looking for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think critically and solve problems in a timely manner. Additionally, this individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a desire to be a leader in the healthcare industry.The successful applicant should have the following qualifications:• MD/DO degree and board certified in Radiation Oncology• 5+ years of experience in Radiation Oncology• Experience in healthcare delivery systems and managed care• Experience in practice development and clinical pathways• Proven leadership skills and experience in a Medical Director role• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities of the Medical Director - Radiation Oncology:
