  1. Develop and implement radiation oncology strategy for Cigna, in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  2. Provide clinical guidance and direction to radiation oncology team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Utilize expertise in radiation oncology to review and evaluate medical policies and procedures, ensuring quality and effectiveness.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in radiation oncology, and incorporate into company strategy.
  6. Lead and participate in clinical research and studies related to radiation oncology, with the goal of improving patient care.
  7. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.
  8. Provide mentorship and support to team members, including training and development opportunities.
  9. Represent Cigna in professional organizations and conferences related to radiation oncology.
  10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to radiation oncology.
  11. Collaborate with other medical directors and senior leadership to drive overall company goals and objectives.
  12. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  13. Act as a liaison between Cigna and external healthcare providers, maintaining positive relationships and promoting collaboration.
  14. Monitor and analyze data and metrics related to radiation oncology, and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert on radiation oncology for both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution: A Medical Director - Radiation Oncology At Cigna Should Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution, Demonstrating A Strong Foundation In Medical Knowledge.

  • Board Certification In Radiation Oncology: Candidates Should Be Board Certified In Radiation Oncology, Showcasing Their Expertise And Experience In The Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Radiation Oncology: Cigna Expects Candidates To Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Radiation Oncology, Preferably In A Leadership Or Management Role.

  • Current Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Best Practices: As A Medical Director, It Is Important To Stay Up-To-Date With Industry Standards And Best Practices In Radiation Oncology. Candidates Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of The Latest Developments And Advancements In The Field.
