  1. Develop and execute strategic plans for pharmaceutical contracting to ensure the best value for customers while managing costs.
  2. Negotiate contracts with pharmaceutical companies to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  3. Analyze market trends and industry data to inform contract negotiations and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, and sales to ensure alignment of contracting strategies with overall business goals.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical companies to foster effective communication and negotiation.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, trends, and best practices to inform and improve contracting strategies.
  7. Manage and maintain contract databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all contract information.
  8. Monitor and track contract performance and identify areas for improvement or renegotiation.
  9. Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Cigna's products and services to effectively negotiate contracts that meet customer needs.
  10. Communicate contract changes and updates to relevant stakeholders, ensuring understanding and compliance.
  11. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement innovative solutions for improving the health and well-being of customers.
  12. Represent Cigna in external meetings and negotiations with pharmaceutical companies, maintaining a professional and positive image.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to pharmaceutical contracting to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Train and mentor junior team members to develop their negotiation and strategic planning skills.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to Cigna's mission and values, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Pharmaceutical Industry

  • Strong Understanding Of Healthcare And Insurance Industry

  • Negotiation Skills And Experience With Contract Management

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory And Compliance Requirements Related To Pharmaceutical Contracts
