  1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of bankruptcy laws, regulations, and procedures.
  2. Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other related documents.
  3. Monitor and track bankruptcy cases and deadlines.
  4. Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other parties involved in bankruptcy proceedings.
  5. Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  6. Coordinate with other departments and teams within the company to gather necessary information and documents for bankruptcy cases.
  7. Maintain organized and accurate case files and documentation.
  8. Attend court hearings and meetings with clients as needed.
  9. Provide guidance and support to junior paralegals and legal assistants.
  10. Stay current on changes in bankruptcy laws and procedures.
  11. Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and identify potential issues.
  12. Conduct legal and factual research to support bankruptcy cases.
  13. Manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  14. Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  15. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.
  16. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  17. Assist with the preparation of budgets and cost estimates for bankruptcy cases.
  18. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and external parties.
  19. Work independently and collaboratively to achieve team goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Bankruptcy Laws And Procedures: A Senior Paralegal- Bankruptcy At Cigna Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Federal And State Bankruptcy Laws, As Well As Bankruptcy Court Procedures.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Bankruptcy Law: Cigna Requires A Senior Paralegal- Bankruptcy To Have At Least 7 Years Of Experience Working In A Law Firm Or Corporate Legal Department, With A Focus On Bankruptcy Cases.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Paralegal- Bankruptcy, One Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Legal Documents And Financial Data To Identify Potential Issues And Provide Solutions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Attorneys, Clients, And Other Legal Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Convey Complex Legal Information And Build Relationships.

  • Proficiency In Legal Research And Document Management: A Senior Paralegal- Bankruptcy Must Be Able To Conduct Thorough Legal Research And Effectively Manage Large Volumes Of Legal Documents, Such As Bankruptcy Petitions, Schedules, And Motions. Familiarity With Electronic Document Management Systems Is Also Preferred.
