- Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures in compliance with global data privacy laws and regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate changes in data privacy laws and regulations to ensure continued compliance.
- Establish and maintain a data privacy program that includes risk assessments, data mapping, and data inventory management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, information security, and IT, to ensure consistent and effective implementation of data privacy policies.
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential privacy risks and address any issues or gaps in compliance.
- Develop and deliver data privacy training programs to educate employees on best practices and responsibilities related to handling sensitive data.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data privacy for HR initiatives and projects, providing guidance and recommendations to ensure compliance.
- Oversee the management of employee data, including sensitive personal information, and ensure proper retention and disposal processes are followed.
- Respond to data privacy inquiries and incidents, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of data privacy compliance and any potential risks or issues.
- Foster a culture of data privacy awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in data privacy, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as regulators and industry associations, to stay current on data privacy developments and best practices.
- Lead by example and uphold Citi's commitment to safeguarding the privacy and security of client information.
Extensive Knowledge Of Global Data Privacy Regulations And Laws, Including Gdpr, Ccpa, And Other Emerging Regulations.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Data Privacy Policies And Procedures Across Multiple Jurisdictions.
Strong Understanding Of Data Governance Principles And Best Practices, Including Records Management, Data Classification, And Data Lifecycle Management.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Leading Global Data Privacy And Records Management Teams.
Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Senior Leadership.
