
Code Enforcement Manager
The City of Burbank is looking for an experienced, organized, and responsible Code Enforcement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record of effective code enforcement and a thorough understanding of city ordinances. With excellent problem-solving and communication skills, the Code Enforcement Manager will be responsible for upholding our standards of quality and compliance in all areas of the city. In addition, you must have a valid driver’s license and a thorough understanding of applicable state and local laws. A bachelor’s degree in public administration or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Enforcing city ordinances, regulations, and standards of quality in all areas of the city.
- Providing problem-solving and communication skills to ensure compliance in all areas.
- Conducting periodic inspections to ensure city code compliance.
- Investigating violations and taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Developing plans to address code violations and ensuring their successful implementation.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with other city departments, local businesses, and community members.
- Collaborating with other enforcement agencies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Supervising and training code enforcement staff.
- Preparing and submitting reports to management and other relevant parties.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of code enforcement activities.
