Job Description

The City of Burbank is seeking an experienced, passionate Fire Fighter to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of a dynamic team and make life safer and more enjoyable for our community. As a Fire Fighter, you will be responsible for responding to fire and medical emergencies, providing fire prevention and public education, and serving as a liaison between our department and the public.To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a valid California Firefighter 1 Certification. You must also have a sound knowledge of firefighting and medical emergency procedures, the ability to work in a highly stressful environment, and the capacity to maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.This is an opportunity to be part of a team that is dedicated to protecting our community, and we look forward to hearing from you.

Responsibilites:

  1. Respond to fire and medical emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Provide fire prevention and public education services.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the department and the public.
  4. Maintain a valid driver's license and California Firefighter 1 Certification.
  5. Have a sound knowledge of firefighting and medical emergency procedures.
  6. Have the ability to work in a highly stressful environment.
  7. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
  8. Follow department policies and procedures.
  9. Assist in the training of new Fire Fighters.
  10. Participate in drills and practice sessions.
  11. Perform all duties in accordance with safety guidelines.
