Welcome to the City of Burbank Fire Department! We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Fire Fighters. As a Fire Fighter, you will play a vital role in protecting our community and ensuring the safety of our citizens.   1. Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls, including fires, medical emergencies, and other hazardous situations.
  2. Operate and maintain firefighting equipment and vehicles in a safe and effective manner.
  3. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to maintain and improve skills and knowledge in firefighting techniques, emergency medical procedures, and other relevant areas.
  4. Conduct inspections and safety drills to ensure compliance with fire codes and regulations.
  5. Communicate effectively with team members and other emergency personnel to coordinate and execute emergency response plans.
  6. Provide support to other emergency services as needed, including mutual aid agreements with neighboring jurisdictions.
  7. Maintain physical fitness and readiness through regular physical training and testing.
  8. Adhere to department protocols and procedures, including those related to safety, code of conduct, and ethical standards.
  9. Participate in community outreach programs to educate the public on fire safety and prevention.
  10. Serve as a positive role model for the department and the community by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and dedication to duty.
  11. Continuously assess and evaluate emergency situations to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions.
  12. Uphold the values and mission of the City of Burbank Fire Department and represent the department with pride and honor at all times.
  13. Continuously strive for personal and professional growth to enhance job performance and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  14. Maintain accurate records and reports related to emergency responses, training, and other job duties.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by superiors to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Job Qualifications
