
EMS Training Specialist
The City of St. Louis is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented EMS Training Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering EMS training programs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Providing quality instruction in all areas of EMS is essential in this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EMS training, an ability to work independently and collaboratively, and excellent organizational and communication skills. The EMS Training Specialist must possess a bachelor’s degree in emergency medical services or a related field and have a minimum of five years of experience in the EMS field. Current certification as an EMS instructor is also required.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver EMS training programs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. • Provide quality instruction in all areas of EMS. • Work independently and collaboratively with other EMS personnel. • Maintain current certification as an EMS instructor. • Possess a strong background in EMS training. • Demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills. • Manage the development and implementation of EMS training curriculum. • Monitor and evaluate all aspects of the EMS training program. • Assist in maintaining records of personnel training and advising on any necessary updates. • Assist in the preparation of materials related to EMS training. • Maintain a current knowledge of changes in EMS training standards and best practices. • Remain up-to-date on all applicable regulations and standards.
