Job Description

The City of St. Louis is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to develop and implement strategies for employee recruitment, performance management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in human resources and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. We're seeking an individual with the necessary qualifications and an engaging personality to join our dynamic and passionate team.Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field• Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources• Expert knowledge of human resources laws, policies, and procedures• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategies for employee recruitment, performance management, and regulatory compliance.
  2. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  3. Manage employee records and HRIS systems.
  4. Prepare and maintain reports and records relative to personnel activities.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  6. Monitor and evaluate performance management programs.
  7. Assist in the development and administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.
  8. Provide advice and guidance to managers and supervisors on personnel issues.
  9. Participate in the recruitment and selection process.
  10. Develop and deliver training programs related to human resources policies and procedures.
