  1. Serve as the first point of contact for emergency calls and accurately gather necessary information from callers.
  2. Dispatch the appropriate fire, medical, or other emergency response resources in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations while quickly making critical decisions.
  4. Communicate effectively and clearly with emergency responders, citizens, and other agencies.
  5. Monitor multiple communication channels and prioritize incoming calls based on level of urgency.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all emergency calls and dispatch activities.
  7. Stay up-to-date on emergency procedures, protocols, and equipment to ensure efficient and effective response.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, showing empathy and compassion in difficult situations.
  9. Work closely with other emergency response agencies and departments to coordinate response efforts.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve skills and knowledge.
  11. Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
