- Plan and organize recreational activities for residents of all ages in the City of Stockton.
- Serve as a leader in the implementation of recreational programs and events.
- Create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community members, stakeholders, and other city departments.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or issues raised by participants.
- Supervise and train junior recreation assistants, ensuring they are following all policies and procedures.
- Keep accurate records of program attendance, budget, and other relevant data.
- Collaborate with other city departments and community organizations to expand and enhance recreational offerings.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in the field of recreation and implement new ideas and initiatives.
- Uphold and enforce all city rules and regulations during recreational activities.
- Maintain equipment and facilities used for recreational programs.
- Promote health, wellness, and fun within the community through various recreational activities.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required.
- Serve as a positive role model for participants and represent the city in a professional manner.
- Adhere to all city policies and procedures and ensure they are followed by all staff and participants.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Supervisory Role Within A Recreation Or Leisure Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Recreation, Leisure Studies, Or A Related Field.
Current Cpr And First Aid Certifications.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Staff, Participants, And Community Members.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Recreational Activities And Programs, With The Ability To Develop And Implement New Programs.
