
Manager, Technical Writing
The Manager FOP Technical Writing maintains familiarity with relevant issues and is responsible for overseeing production for in-scope documents and programs. Assigns and balances the work of members of the Tech Writer team. Provides supervision and input for Performance Management. Solicits and receives continuous feedback for improvement from line pilots, instructors, and line check pilots, regulatory and technical professionals. Analyzes, substantiates, presents and coordinates document approvals in support of the operation during various flight operations meetings. Responsible for the version control of online manuals, documentation source control, and file management. Responsible for vendor development and implementation of features and functions of publication tools, programs, and applications that support short-term initiatives and long-term strategies for an accurate and timely comprehensive manual suite in a digital environment with a changing fleet composition and onboard hardware/software.
Experience as the end-user of aviation technical, operational, and/or training information is desired.
Must have breadth of experience in writing and desktop publishing in supporting operational documents in an aviation environment
Demonstrable ability to author complex technical aviation content for a pilot audience.
