- Load and unload baggage and cargo from aircrafts, ensuring proper weight distribution and loading procedures are followed.
- Transport baggage and cargo to and from aircrafts using appropriate equipment, such as tugs and baggage carts.
- Safely guide aircrafts in and out of gates, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of ground equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
- Assist customers with checking in and retrieving their baggage, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing duties on the ramp.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely aircraft turnarounds.
- Maintain accurate records of baggage and cargo movements, ensuring all items are properly logged and accounted for.
- Communicate effectively with pilots and other ground crew to coordinate the movement of aircrafts.
- Assist with other ground tasks as needed, including de-icing, towing aircrafts, and performing security checks.
- Attend training and meetings as required to stay updated on safety procedures and company policies.
- Adhere to company dress code and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Maintain a positive attitude and represent Delta Air Lines in a professional and courteous manner.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, following all sanitation and hygiene protocols.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Excellent Physical Fitness And Ability To Lift Up To 70 Pounds
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills
Prior Experience In A Fast-Paced And Physically Demanding Job, Such As Baggage Handling Or Warehouse Work
Knowledge Of Aircraft Safety Procedures And Regulations, As Well As Basic Aviation Terminology.
