Job Description

Welcome to Dillard's, where fashion meets function and design is at the heart of our brand. We are currently seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our Store Planning team. As an Interior Designer, you will play an integral role in creating visually stunning and functional retail spaces that showcase our merchandise in the best possible way. You will work closely with our merchandising and operations teams to design and execute store layouts that enhance the customer shopping experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design, has a keen eye for detail, and is able to bring our brand to life through their creative vision. If you have a strong background in interior design and a passion for retail, we would love to have you on our team!

  1. Collaborate with merchandising and operations teams to design and execute store layouts that align with Dillard's brand image and customer needs.
  2. Utilize your knowledge of design principles and trends to create visually stunning and functional retail spaces.
  3. Work with project managers to ensure that all designs are completed within set timelines and budget constraints.
  4. Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information and measurements for new store projects.
  5. Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using design software.
  6. Assist in the selection and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and finishes for store design projects.
  7. Source and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
  8. Continuously research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices for retail design.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all design elements align with overall store objectives and brand image.
  10. Communicate design concepts and ideas effectively to stakeholders, including senior management.
  11. Participate in store design meetings and provide input and suggestions for improving the customer shopping experience.
  12. Ensure that all store designs comply with building codes and safety regulations.
  13. Work with store managers to address any design-related issues or concerns and provide solutions.
  14. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all design projects.
  15. Attend industry events and conferences to network and stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in retail design.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Interior Design Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Store Planning, Preferably In A Retail Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Design Software Such As Autocad, Sketchup, And Revit.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Executing Store Planning Projects From Concept To Completion, With A Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Meet Deadlines.
