  1. Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for children with hearing and communication disorders.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients based on evaluation results.
  3. Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss and communication disorders.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, speech-language pathologists, and educators, to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
  5. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and advancements in pediatric audiology to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, high-quality care.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  7. Use specialized equipment and techniques to assess and diagnose hearing and communication disorders in children.
  8. Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and determine the most effective treatment approach.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to build trusting relationships and promote positive outcomes.
  10. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of job responsibilities.
  11. Actively participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  12. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to pediatric audiology services.
  13. Promote a culture of excellence and patient-centered care within the pediatric audiology department.
  14. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  15. Represent Duke University Health System in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Or Doctoral Degree In Audiology From An Accredited University.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In Pediatric Audiology, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.

  • Certification By The American Board Of Audiology (Aba) Or The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha) In Pediatric Audiology.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Current Practices And Procedures In Pediatric Audiology, Including Assessment And Treatment Of Hearing Disorders In Children.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Children And Their Families, As Well As Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals.
