Job Description

At Duke University Health System, we're looking for an experienced Emergency Department Technician to join our team of dedicated professionals. Our ideal candidate is an organized individual with excellent customer service and problem solving skills, and a commitment to providing the highest quality of patient care. The successful Emergency Department Technician will be responsible for providing technical support in the emergency department, including patient care, preparation of equipment and supplies, and other duties as assigned. In this role, you must be able to work with a variety of medical professionals, provide superior customer service, and handle challenging situations with confidence.Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Previous experience in a healthcare setting• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Excellent communication and customer service skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks• Proficiency with computer applications and electronic medical records

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support in the emergency department, including patient care and preparation of equipment and supplies.
  2. Work with a variety of medical professionals to provide superior customer service.
  3. Handle challenging situations with confidence.
  4. Ensure a high quality of patient care.
  5. Work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Prioritize multiple tasks.
  7. Utilize computer applications and electronic medical records.

  9. Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
