
Emergency Medical Technician Cadet
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Cadets to join Duke University Health System. In this position, you will gain valuable insights and experience while providing crucial medical care to patients in need. As an EMT Cadet, you will be responsible for providing basic life support and medical care to patients, as well as responding to emergency calls and transporting patients to care centers.The ideal candidate will hold an EMT certification, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. They will also have a desire to learn and advance their knowledge of the medical field. Responsibilities:
- Provide basic life support and medical care to patients, including performing basic medical exams, administering medication, and providing medical assistance during emergencies.
- Respond to emergency calls and transport patients to care centers.
- Maintain patient records and document all medical treatments.
- Work closely with medical teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Stay current on all relevant medical protocols and procedures.
- Assist with maintaining medical equipment and supplies.
- Participate in continuing education activities to stay up-to-date on current medical treatments.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
