
Physician Assistant Neurosurgery
At Duke University Health System, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant with Neurosurgery experience to join our team. Our ideal candidate has strong clinical and communication skills, with experience in the Neurosurgery field. You must have a current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in North Carolina, or be eligible to obtain one, and be certified or eligible for certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). We are looking for an individual who is eager to take on responsibility, is passionate about providing quality patient care, and is committed to advancing the field of Neurosurgery as a Physician Assistant. Responsibilities:
- Provide quality patient care in the field of Neurosurgery.
- Ensure clinical competency by maintaining a current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in North Carolina and/or being certified or eligible for certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Perform medical exams and consultations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, make diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and prescribe medications.
- Document patient care and progress in medical records.
- Monitor patient health and progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and clinical research initiatives as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with advances in the field of Neurosurgery.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to Duke University Health System policies and procedures.
