Job Description

The Duke University Health System is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Therapy Aide to join our team in Sports Medicine. We are seeking a self-starter with exceptional communication and organizational skills to help provide comprehensive therapy services to our patients. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a commitment to excellence and a passion for helping people.The primary responsibilities of the Therapy Aide include assisting physical therapists in delivering therapy programs, providing patient education, and performing clerical tasks. The Therapy Aide will also participate in the development of therapeutic programs and assist in the implementation of therapeutic regimens.The successful candidate for this position will have a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a physical therapy or sports medicine setting is preferred, but not required. The Therapy Aide must also demonstrate a professional demeanor and maintain a patient-first attitude.

Responsibilities: • Assist physical therapists in delivering therapy programs, providing patient education, and performing clerical tasks • Participate in the development of therapeutic programs and assist in the implementation of therapeutic regimens • Maintain a professional demeanor and patient-first attitude • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Work in a fast-paced environment • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures • Follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner • Maintain a clean and organized work environment • Document patient progress and update patient records
