
Transplant Coordinator

- Coordinate all aspects of organ and tissue donation, from evaluating potential donors to managing post-transplant care.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a smooth and efficient transplant process.
- Monitor and track donor and recipient information, including medical records, test results, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the transplant process and post-transplant care.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to organ and tissue donation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all donor and recipient information.
- Serve as a liaison between the hospital, transplant team, and external agencies involved in the transplant process.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the transplant program.
- Stay current on advancements and best practices in the field of organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
- Foster a positive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In A Healthcare-Related Field, Such As Nursing, Social Work, Or Healthcare Administration.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Transplant Coordination, Preferably At A Large Medical Center Or Academic Institution.
Strong Knowledge Of Organ Transplant Procedures, Protocols, And Regulations, Including Unos Guidelines.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
Current Certification As A Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (Cctc) Or Willingness To Obtain Certification Within The First Year Of Employment.
