- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients struggling with addiction.
- Develop treatment plans and goals in collaboration with patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and progress notes.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery and relapse prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on addiction, recovery, and coping strategies.
- Assess and address any co-occurring mental health issues.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Serve as a resource for patients and their families, providing support, guidance, and referrals as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in addiction treatment.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions with patients and team members.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards patients and their recovery journey.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patients.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In Addiction Counseling Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices And Treatment Modalities For Addiction, Such As Cognitive Behavioral Therapy And Motivational Interviewing.
Certification Or Licensure In Addiction Counseling Or Related Field, Such As Certified Addiction Counselor (Cac) Or Licensed Professional Counselor (Lpc).
Ability To Work With Diverse Populations And Adhere To Ethical Standards And Confidentiality Guidelines In Accordance With State And Federal Laws.
