- Conduct blood bank procedures and protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform blood product inventory management, ensuring adequate supply and proper storage.
- Conduct blood product compatibility testing and cross-matching for transfusions.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate timely and accurate blood product delivery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of blood product usage and patient information.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent the spread of infection.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience during the blood donation and transfusion process.
- Monitor and report any abnormalities or issues with blood products to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to coordinate blood product orders and deliveries.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and education opportunities.

Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Blood Bank Or Transfusion Services Setting
Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) Or Specialist In Blood Banking (Sbb)
Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Quality Control Processes
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
