- Respond to Emergency Situations: The EMT will be responsible for responding quickly and effectively to emergency situations, providing immediate medical care to patients in need.
- Provide Life-Saving Care: The EMT will be responsible for assessing patients' medical needs and providing appropriate medical treatment to stabilize their condition and potentially save their lives.
- Communicate with Patients and Healthcare Team: The EMT will be responsible for communicating with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on the patient's condition and coordinate care.
- Follow Protocols and Procedures: The EMT will be responsible for following established protocols and procedures for responding to emergencies and providing medical care, ensuring the highest level of safety and effectiveness.
- Maintain Equipment and Supplies: The EMT will be responsible for regularly checking and maintaining emergency medical equipment and supplies to ensure they are fully stocked and in proper working condition.
- Document Patient Information: The EMT will be responsible for accurately documenting patient information, including medical history, vital signs, and treatment provided, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Continuously Train and Educate: The EMT will be responsible for staying up-to-date on the latest medical practices and procedures through ongoing training and education, in order to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Demonstrate Compassion and Empathy: The EMT will be responsible for displaying compassion and empathy towards patients and their families during difficult and stressful situations.
- Maintain Patient Confidentiality: The EMT will be responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times.

Valid Emt Certification: Candidates For An Emt Position At Emory Healthcare Must Possess A Valid Certification As An Emergency Medical Technician, Either At The Basic Or Advanced Level. This Certification Must Be Obtained From An Accredited Institution.
Current Cpr Certification: In Addition To An Emt Certification, Candidates Must Also Possess A Current Cpr Certification From Either The American Heart Association Or The American Red Cross.
Experience In Emergency Care: Emory Healthcare Prefers Candidates With A Minimum Of One Year Of Experience In An Emergency Care Setting, Such As Working On An Ambulance Or In An Emergency Department.
Strong Communication Skills: As An Emt, Effective Communication Is Crucial For Providing Quality Patient Care. Candidates Must Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Physical Fitness: The Role Of An Emt Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring Candidates To Be In Good Physical Condition. Candidates Must Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Patients, As Well As Stand And Walk For Extended Periods Of Time. A Physical Fitness Test May Be Required As Part Of The Hiring Process.
