  1. Prepare and serve meals to patients according to their dietary restrictions and preferences.
  2. Ensure all meals are prepared and served in a timely manner, following safety and sanitation guidelines.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patients' dietary needs are being met.
  4. Monitor patient food intake and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  5. Maintain accurate records of patient meal orders and dietary restrictions.
  6. Receive and store food and supply deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and storage methods.
  7. Assist with menu planning and recipe development for patient meals.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns regarding meals.
  9. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
  10. Continuously educate yourself on current nutrition guidelines and trends to provide the best possible care for patients.
  11. Attend meetings and trainings to stay up-to-date on healthcare and food service policies and procedures.
  12. Act as a positive ambassador for Emory Healthcare, promoting our mission and values.
  13. Work closely with kitchen staff to maintain inventory levels and minimize food waste.
  14. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Registered Dietetic Technician (Dtr) By The Commission On Dietetic Registration.

  • Previous Experience In A Clinical Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably With Food And Nutrition Services.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Nutrition Therapy And Ability To Develop Individualized Nutrition Plans For Patients.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Healthcare Teams And Patients From Diverse Backgrounds.
