Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food and nutrition services to ensure that our patients, staff, and visitors receive the best possible dining experience.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives for the food and nutrition services department in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the healthcare facility.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of the department, including menu planning, food preparation, service, and sanitation to ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  3. Hire, train, manage, and evaluate a team of food service workers, dietitians, and other support staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and optimal performance.
  4. Maintain a strong understanding of current nutrition and dietary trends, and work closely with the facility's clinical staff to develop and implement specialized meal plans for patients with specific medical needs.
  5. Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and identify areas for cost savings without compromising on the quality of food and nutrition services.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective delivery of food and nutrition services, including special events and catering services.
  7. Monitor patient satisfaction and feedback, and implement improvements and changes to enhance the overall dining experience.
  8. Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, and maintain accurate records and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and implement new initiatives and technologies to continuously improve efficiency and quality of services.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing mentorship and support to team members and promoting professional development opportunities.
  11. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including patients, staff, and management, to promote a culture of exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, and ensure that the food and nutrition services department operates in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Food Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Food And Nutrition Services, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory And Accreditation Requirements Related To Food And Nutrition Services In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Other Departments And Work Effectively With Patients And Their Families.
