Hospital Outpatient Coder

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Hospital Outpatient Coder to join our team at Emory Healthcare. Responsibilities:

1. Utilize ICD-10 and CPT coding systems to accurately code patient medical records.
2. Work independently and in a team environment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
3. Use electronic medical records and coding software to record and organize patient information.
4. Monitor and track coding guidelines and regulations to ensure they are up-to-date.
5. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient information.
6. Provide quality coding support to other departments within Emory Healthcare.
7. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when coding.
8. Assist with audits and other coding related projects.
9. Prepare and generate reports related to coding activities.
10. Utilize coding software to analyze patient records.
