
Patient Account Representative

Additionally, you must have a thorough knowledge of medical coding, insurance verification, and third-party reimbursement. Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain accurate patient accounts in accordance with Emory Healthcare policy.
- Monitor patient accounts for discrepancies and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
- Process medical billing and collect payments from patients and third-party payers.
- Verify insurance coverage and submit claims in a timely manner.
- Generate patient statements and handle customer inquiries.
- Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and update relevant databases.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure accuracy of patient accounts.
- Remain current on industry trends and updates to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and cultivate a positive relationship with patients.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
