Job Description

At Emory Healthcare, we are always looking for passionate, talented professionals to join our team. We are currently looking for a Patient Care Technician who will be responsible for providing care to patients, often in a hospital or other health care facility.The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent. They should also have a strong understanding of patient care dynamics, and the ability to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.The successful candidate should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate with both patients and healthcare professionals. Above all, the Patient Care Technician must be committed to providing the highest quality of care to all of our patients.

Responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician:

  1. Provide care to patients in a hospital or health care facility.
  2. Understand patient care dynamics and provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Communicate and collaborate with both patients and healthcare professionals.
  4. Ensure the highest quality of care for all patients.
  5. Monitor patient's progress and communicate any changes to the healthcare professionals.
  6. Assist in the preparation of patient care plans and document patient information.
  7. Perform treatments and procedures as ordered by the physician.
  8. Assist with patient transport needs.
  9. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  10. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
