
Proton Radiation Therapist

The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to deliver quality care.We are looking for a candidate who holds a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy or equivalent professional experience, is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and is certified in Radiation Therapy. We also require a minimum of two years of experience in radiation therapy, including proton therapy, and experience with a major treatment planning system. Responsibilities:
- Provide radiation treatment to cancer patients using proton therapy
- Utilize major treatment planning system to create treatment plans for patients
- Manage patient records and ensure accuracy of data
- Maintain radiation safety protocols and standards of care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other oncology professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Educate patients and families about radiation treatments and answer questions
- Adhere to all professional regulations and ethical standards
- Utilize strong organizational and problem-solving skills to ensure quality care
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Physics Or Related Field
Completion Of An Accredited Radiation Therapy Program
Certified By The American Board Of Radiology Or The American Board Of Medical Physics As A Radiation Oncology Physicist
Licensed By The State Of Georgia To Practice Radiation Therapy
Knowledge Of The Principles And Techniques Of Modern Radiation Therapy
Competency In The Use Of Proton Radiation Therapy Equipment
