  1. Learn and adhere to all sterilization protocols and guidelines set by Emory Healthcare to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  2. Participate in hands-on training and educational sessions to develop a thorough understanding of sterilization techniques and equipment.
  3. Assist in the sterilization of medical equipment and instruments, including proper handling, cleaning, packaging, and labeling.
  4. Perform quality control checks to ensure that all sterilization processes have been completed accurately.
  5. Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and notify supervisor of any shortages or discrepancies.
  6. Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
  7. Keep work area clean and organized to facilitate efficient and effective sterilization processes.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Sterile Processing Trainee At Emory Healthcare Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Equivalent To Be Considered For The Job.

  • Completion Of Sterile Processing Certification Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Sterile Processing Certification Program From An Accredited Institution. This Will Ensure That They Have A Basic Understanding Of Sterile Processing Techniques And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Sterile Processing Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Basic Understanding Of The Different Types Of Sterile Processing Equipment Used In Healthcare Facilities. This Includes Autoclaves, Ultrasonic Cleaners, And Sterilization Wraps.

  • Excellent Attention To Detail: As A Sterile Processing Trainee, Attention To Detail Is Crucial. Candidates Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure That All Instruments And Equipment Are Properly Cleaned And Sterilized Before Use.
