In this position, you will be responsible for leading the medical records staff to ensure that all records and documents are handled in a timely and accurate manner.To be successful as a Supervisor of Medical Records, the ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the medical records systems and processes. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical records setting is required, as well as outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to make a difference and join a dynamic and welcoming team. Responsibilities of the Supervisor of Medical Records:

  1. Supervise and manage medical records staff to ensure that all records and documents are handled in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Develop and implement medical records systems and processes.
  3. Monitor data accuracy and integrity of medical records.
  4. Train and orient medical records staff on proper record keeping procedures.
  5. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to medical records.
  7. Analyze medical records and make necessary corrections as needed.
  8. Provide support to medical records staff to ensure optimal performance.
  9. Create and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of medical records.
  10. Respond to patient inquiries regarding medical records.
