
Supervisor of Medical Records

In this position, you will be responsible for leading the medical records staff to ensure that all records and documents are handled in a timely and accurate manner.To be successful as a Supervisor of Medical Records, the ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the medical records systems and processes. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical records setting is required, as well as outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to make a difference and join a dynamic and welcoming team. Responsibilities of the Supervisor of Medical Records:
- Supervise and manage medical records staff to ensure that all records and documents are handled in a timely and accurate manner.
- Develop and implement medical records systems and processes.
- Monitor data accuracy and integrity of medical records.
- Train and orient medical records staff on proper record keeping procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to medical records.
- Analyze medical records and make necessary corrections as needed.
- Provide support to medical records staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Create and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of medical records.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding medical records.
